What are these astronomical events?
The Equinox celebrates a moment of equilibrium when the sun’s centre crosses the equator. Coming from the Latin word aequinoctium, translating as equal night. It’s a time to reflect on balance, honouring both the light and shadow within, recognising that both are essential to our wholeness.

The Solstice is when the Sun reaches its highest or lowest point in the sky, appearing to "stand still" before reversing direction. Originally called solstitium from the Latin sol meaning sun and stit meaning still. It marks the longest day (summer solstice) or shortest day (winter solstice) of the year.
Energetically, each is a threshold, one of four doorways where you can access higher frequencies:
